Reborn with the same analog punch, semi-modular modular sound-scaping potential, and the added flexibility of two generations’ worth of filter modes–the Behringer K-2 MKII is a faithful homage to the classic late-70s MS-20 mono synth, with expanded functions, modern connectivity, in one high-value Eurorack mountable module. True to Behringers form, the K-2 reproduces the original analog circuitry to the smallest details, including matched JFETs, transistors, and authentic VCO, VCF, and VCP analog designs. Expect the same sonic signature and player experience enjoyed by pioneering synth acts like OMD, Depeche Mode, and Analog Resurgences-era bands like Daft Punk and Snarky Puppy.

Like the original, the K-2 is loaded with 2 VCOs capable of producing triangle, reverse-sawtooth, square, narrow pulse, pulse, and ring mod wave shapes independently or simultaneously4 octaves each and 6 octaves total (from 32-2). Additionally, the VCO mixers allow individual-level adjustments for an outrageous mix of sonic mayhem.

The normalized, semi-modular design operates easily, with all the essential sound generation connections hardwired internally and controlled with 36 knobs for control over all critical functions. For even more comprehensive control, the K-2s internal architecture is accessible through 32 CV/signal patch points worth of sonic exploration and creative freedom. The K-2 also features 2 analog envelope generators for modulation of the VCF and VCA, 2 Analog envelope generators, plus external audio input for outboard sounds and effects. With the addition of USB/MIDI implementation and voice priority section, plus Behringers 16-voice poly chain connectivity allowing up to 16 voices of polyphony, the K-2 covers as much ground as your imagination takes you.
