Description
Step out from behind the keyboard rack and into the spotlight like Devo, The Prodigy, and The Chemical Brothers. Okay, maybe not just like them (flower-pot-style hats and fire-starter hair dye arent included), but a guitar strap and detachable left-hand expression controller are. Despite the fun factor and showmanship potential, it’s far more than a Key-tar style novelty or 80s-style synth clone. The Behringer MS-1 RD is a formidable, 32-key vintage-style analog mono-synth–upgraded with modern playability and connectivity. Best of all, its built for the Pro but priced for all.
Even with limited or no experience with old-school-style analog controls, youll be revisiting and creating your own screaming lead sounds, booming bass lines, and out-of-this-world effects in no time. Use your ears and imagination to operate the intuitively laid-out surface panel to control the entire analog pathway.
Like its vintage counterpart, the MS-1 can deliver a fantastic range of classic analog tone-shaping flexibility. The 3340-style chip-driven VCO allows you to mix and manipulate four waveforms over a 4-octave range, giving you comprehensive control over tonal sculpting. The incredibly flexible VCF features fader-style controls for Frequency, Resonance, Envelope, Modulation, and Keyboard-follow sliders, letting you quickly zero in and tweak your sound. ASDR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release) control faders give you a graphic-style view of your control over each notes shape, from a hammer-like smack to a softly bowed violin.
The MS-1-RD is also equipped with a programmable 32-step sequencer that can recall up to 64 patterns stored in 8 banks of preset buttons, plus an 8-pattern Arpeggiator that can be triggered by any chord you play. The MD-1 comes equipped with Behringers full-sized, semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive key bed and MIDI In/Out/Thru/USB PORT for an extra layer of playability, versatility, and expression.
