Description
From dreamlike drones to space-age pulses and fiery hooks, through knockout punch bass lines, Neutron is a standalone standout analog powerhouse. Mixing vintage-style analog circuitry with an all-new, original design, Behringer (with some help from Music Tribe partner Midas) has created a contemporary vintage classic.
Veteran Synth gurus will love Neuron’s semi-modular architecture’s near-limitless sound design potential. Up-and-coming sound seekers will love the internally wired normalized signal path, which lets you begin experimenting before touching any external patch cords. When you are ready to explore and deeply customize your sound, the right-hand control surface features 56 patch points that can be used for simple tweaks or overriding the entire internal architecture.
Neutrons dual 3340 analog vintage-style oscillators and additional PMW noise generator provide a ten-octave range of sun-sonic lows through glass-shattering highs. Each VCO is capable of blending tone mod, sawtooth, triangle, and sine waves independently or together with the mix Knob in monophonic mode. In Paraphonic mode, each VCO can be assigned to a separate pitch, while the bi-polar digital LFO provides independent ASDR over each voice. If thats not enough flexibility for this uniquely constructed Monosynth, the “poly-chaining” functionality lets you link multiple devices together for true polyphonic performance. Another benefit of the digital LFO is clock sync-able tempo across your entire digital workspace.
Youll have your hands full tweaking the 36 control knobs, 7 buttons, and 32-in/24-out jack matrix before you even start considering the bucket brigade chip analog delay, onboard distortion, or comprehensive USB/Midi connectivity capability. Housed in an 80H Eurorack-ready desk-top-sized module and priced too low to pass up, get ready to take the Neutron anyplace you go, and anywhere your imagination leads.
