At the unit’s center, a large VCA (volume-controlled amplifier) dial regulates the amount of voltage to the amp (rather than the signal amount) for more precise volume adjustments and uncolored audio response than standard faders. Directly above, switches for mono operation, mute, and dim are right within reach, with an integrated talk-back mic on the right and a pair of headphone amps with independent volumes on the left. Across the top, control buttons with LED Halo-style indicators allow you to select from each input source and toggle through up to 3 sets of studio monitors for mixing and mastering decisions.

With 4 stereo inputs with dedicated level controls, 2 additional inputs for the monitor mix, stereo RCA inputs for turntables, and more, plus USB connectivity, the Xenyx control2USB is capable of handling just about any audio source. Outputs include 3 pairs stereo monitor outputs with individual level controls, 2 and 1 DAW stereo recording outs with -10/+4 level control, plus headphones and studio stereo outputs.
